SLOW IS A VERY IMPORTANT LEARNING PHASE OF DRIVING REQUIRED BEFORE YOU MOVE TO GO FAST!

THESE ARE COMMON WORDS FRIENDS and FAMILY SAY TO A NEW DRIVER

“Hurry Up You Are Driving So Slow.”

“Drivers Behind You Will Get Pissed Off If You Don’t Move Faster.”

“You Gotta Go Faster Much Faster.”

“You are Slowing Everyone Down.”

‘You Are Causing A Big Hazard!”

COMMON WORDS COOPER SAYS WHEN FIRST MEETING A NEW DRIVER

“You Seem Very Rushed!”

“You are racing thru turns without positioning your car accurately.”

“You drive straight thru that intersection without knowing who had greens and reds.”

“Your foot is always on the gas or up in the air! It’s rarely on the brake pedal!”

“It feels like you drive, always in a rush!”

“Are you in a rush?”

“Yes! My friends all tell me I am too slow, the other driving instructor told me I was too slow, and the examiner failed me for being too slow so now I am trying my best to go faster!” gasps the new driver!

Do you feel you have solid control of the car?

NO

Do you feel you understand the intersections and all the signs and lines up ahead of you?

NO

Do you feel overwhelmed because there is too much going on and you do not have enough time to process everything?

YES

THEN SLOW DOWN – NOW!

Driver Training Exists To Help You Develop The Skills So That You Can Comfortably Fit Into The Flow of Traffic. Slow is a Learning Phase Of Driving!

SLOW IS A VERY IMPORTANT LEARNING PHASE OF DRIVING REQUIRED BEFORE YOU MOVE TO GO FAST!

Going faster makes your out-of-control feeling worse! Faster makes the understanding of the greens and reds more confusing. Faster will push you deeper into being overwhelmed. Ignore all the advice of experienced drivers or armchair experts that push you to go faster. Listen to yourself! Slow Down to give yourself more time to process what’s coming ahead of you, and time to read all the signs and lines. Time to focus on your car positioning so that you are in the right place at the right time, every time. Listen to your own CALM LEVEL and your own COMFORT LEVEL! You are the one driving the car!

I never teach speed. Positioning, calm, control, and confidence are what is needed here – NOT SPEED.

Speed comes to every new driver WITHOUT ME TEACHING IT! Because, as you gain more control, and a better understanding of the rules and how other cars move, your confidence will grow, your body will relax more, and before we know it and before we talk about it, YOU WILL BE SPEEDING because it’s a natural progression as you gain more skills and more confidence.

I Never Teach New Drivers Speed.

I don’t need to.

It naturally comes as your skill grows!

Stop listening to the ten-year-long driver who is addicted to the GO GO GO rush rush-rush world, is tailgating, who must always hurry up, is addicted to the fastest and gets the closest, and always takes the shortest route

DRIVE AT YOUR OWN LEVEL – the New Driver Level! Trust me, speed will naturally come.

But to rush and try to go faster before you are ready, only makes things worse!

A horn toot hurts far less than a car crash!
