I Believe in Transparency
Because You Deserve the Truth

When I started training drivers over 40+ years ago, I made a promise to myself: I’d never hide what I bring to the table. Driving isn’t just a skill—it’s a lifelong responsibility that can mean the difference between safety and tragedy. That’s why I’m stunned to see so many driving schools refuse to share their instructors’ qualifications.

What are they hiding? I’ll tell you: most instructors complete a basic 3.5-week course, get their license, and stop there. No advanced training. No crash research. No professional development. Just the bare minimum to get you to pass a test and move on.

I’m different. I’ve spent decades building expertise that goes far beyond the industry standard, and I’m proud to prove it. Below are my qualifications—every certification, every course, every experience I’ve earned to keep you safe on the road.

Compare that to the typical 3.5-week training most schools offer, and you’ll see why 80% of my clients come to me after terrible experiences with other instructors. They’ve seen the difference, and I want you to see it too.

My Qualifications: A Lifetime of Learning for Your Safety

  • British Columbia Training: Classroom Instructor (Justice Institute of British Columbia), ICBC Driving Instructor License (#0384898), Class 4 Unrestricted License for Special Needs Bus, HUB Cycling Instructor Certification, Occupational First Aid Level 1 (#009709), Driver Training School License (DTC#: 2289).
  • Ontario Safety League: Driving Instructor DI Certificate (#105569), Advanced Classroom Instructor ACI Certificate (#105568), Techniques of Instruction TI Certificate (#105567), 55 Stay Alive Instructor, Defensive Driving Course Instructor.
  • Road Safety Educators Association: Trauma Course, Decision Making & The Driving Task, The Aging Process, Road Safety Facilitators Program, Evaluators Assessors Training, Disease Effects and Driving, Cognitive Stressors & Driving.
  • Advanced Experience: 8 years of skid school, 7 years driving through China, Senior Assessor for Applied Research Cell Phone Studies, 30 years of Class 6 Motorbike License, extensive fleet and corporate training, car crash research, Senior Executive Group Change Management & 6 years now specializing in navigating high anxiety and stress drivers.
  • Real-World Impact: I’ve worked with Transport Canada on cell phone distraction studies, keeping participants safe in real-life, high-risk scenarios—like navigating downtown Ottawa while cameras captured dangerous behaviors. I’ve studied crashes, cognitive science, and driver psychology to understand what truly keeps you safe, not just what gets you through a test.
  • Driving Therapy: Over 600 clients are driving tofay after following my Calm Driving program moving them from fear and anxiety into being able to drive everyday today! I was trained in CBT and several other cognitive science type strategies – kind helpful type training when I worked with the Cell Phone study PHD group. My average client age averages 31 years of age (34 this past year) most of whom have tried to learn previously. This journey is not an easy one, but you too can achieve Calm Driving with careful steps forward.
  • Corporate World: My clients have been wonderful and I have learned so so so much myself about anxiety and the depths of untangling personal struggles in order to master this driving game. Part of my client support is to be transparent and tell the world more about my experience and skills. OK-here goes. For more than a decade I jumped into the corporate world following my eye opening work that of measuring what GOOD DRIVING IS with the PHDS on the cell phone studies, which quickly propelled me into the role of acting CIO for a large Canadian marking group and further into a full time 6 year long job as a CEO for an international consulting firm. As a change agent I was used to alter groups into a positive change producing targeted results for the owners. I loved the mental challenge, the big paychecks, but struggled with the endless stress.
  • GREAT JOY WORKING THESE LAST 6 YEARS WITH THIS SERIOUS POPULATION: Truly I am so excited to work closely with every client I meet these days because near all of them have really looked hard and long at this driving thing, as have I. I get so excited to share my life’s work: WHAT MAKES A GOOD DRIVER? What is the best path to help one change and improve to acquire this very important life long skill? I got into this business because I lost my best friend at 19 to a simple missed stop sign. Everyday now I get to share the solutions that I wished my best friend had that one special day when I lost him forever.
  • BOOKS AND PUBLISHING AND MODULE PRODUCTION: I have been so inspired these last years watching so many adults of all ages overcome this barrier of not begin able to drive- and overcome many great personal struggles to achieve success and calm driving. And yes several books have been worked on for far too long, and a huge library of videos have been built all of which is about to explode into my little world soon I hope! The build of the material is used to support my current clients throughout their in-car work.

Why Don’t Other Schools Publish Their Qualifications?

I’ve searched far and wide, and I can’t find another driving school—or anywhere else—that openly shares their instructors’ credentials.

Why? Because most schools rely on the minimum: a 3.5-week course that hasn’t changed in decades. They don’t dig into crash research, cognitive science, or the long-term risks of driving. They don’t invest in ongoing training. And they don’t want you to know that. Instead, they make empty promises—“92% pass rate,” “top instructors”—with no proof. I’ve seen school owners who don’t even understand basic traffic laws or crash charges. How can they teach you to stay safe?

The Industry is Stuck  But I’m Not

The driver training industry often uses methods from 73 years ago, ignoring modern discoveries in cognitive science and crash research. It’s a male-dominated field focused on quick test passes, not lifelong safety. I took the same 3.5-week course as everyone else, and I was shocked—it’s the near identical course I took 40 years ago. Meanwhile, I’ve spent my career advancing my skills, from skid school to corporate training to applied research, ensuring I can teach you what really matters far beyond what I would have ever thought of: how to manage risk for life, not just for a test.

Choose Safety, Choose Transparency

80% of my clients come to me after terrible experiences with others. They’ve seen the difference my training makes—whether we’re downtown, on the highway, or at the test route. I’m not here to get you on the road as fast as possible. I’m here to keep you safe for a lifetime. That’s why I publish my qualifications: so you can see the facts, compare for yourself, and make an informed choice. Don’t settle for empty promises. Choose a trainer who proves their expertise—because your safety deserves nothing less.

Ready to Drive Smarter? Let’s Get Started.

I dare you to compare. Go try another instructor, then come and try me. I dare you to compare. And if they are better than I, the session with me is free.
