fear can come from your trainer for syre

Sometimes, the anxiety you feel while learning to drive isn’t just your own. What if your instructor was a bit nervous too? It’s not as uncommon as you might think. Instructors are human, and they can sometimes feel the pressure.

Feeling Others Stress is Common

You all know what I am talking about especially when your copilot is a parent or your other half, and it’s their brand-new car! Any sudden movement they make or when you see their grip on the passenger door increase, you can feel it! We all can feel it.

And both of these are distractions.

Learn to Manage These Distractions

Many choose to go to driver education because of this discomfort with family members. It is very common, and I see it as a wise stepping stone to learning to drive. Managing this distraction is the job of the driver. Always.

Maybe it’s time to find a more senior experienced instructor who is CALM and not at all nervous. Truly this will make a HUGE difference in your learning if in fact you are being distracted by your passengers’ fear.

This is human to feel others’ emotions and there is nothing wrong with it, however, it can be a big distraction when learning to drive.

Find a More Senior Calm Driving Instructor

Fear in fact does drive a lot of new instructors out of the business in their first year. Many instructors simply cannot handle the stress and decide to leave the industry.

So this fear you may be feeling is very real.

ONE OF THE FIVE KEYS YOU NEED FOR YOUR DRIVING TEST.
