Most driving talk starts with THEM.
Watch that car. Watch that bike. Watch that pedestrian. Watch the examiner. Watch the guy behind you.
That is later.
First is US.
Your car. Your body. Your eyes. Your hands. Your feet. Your energy. Your 2000 kg machine.
If US is tangled, THEM just makes the tangle louder.
A left turn is not “them.” A left turn is you aiming this big steel body through a gap. If your hands are already shouting, the gap does not matter yet.
So we start small. Quiet street. Sometimes two kilometres an hour. Sometimes we sit and name what is happening inside.
Then we take one piece apart. Lane. Brake. First second of the turn. Whatever you flag.
When US starts to make sense, THEM becomes information instead of a flood.
Control yourself first is not selfish. It is how you keep other people safer too.
