Traffic likes to clump.

Brake lights. Then more brake lights. Then everybody sitting in the same shrinking space.

That is the party.

Most people join it. They think that is how you “keep up.”

I would rather you keep a bubble.

Space in front. Space beside. A little space behind so the person there is not surprised. Eyes on the open path you want — the Purple Line — not glued to the bumper.

When energy spikes because the pack is tight, that is the map again. One of the 1200 pieces is tangled. Often it is following distance. Often it is eyes dropping short. Often it is hands getting busy because the gap got small.

We take that piece apart. We build it again. Quiet reps.

You do not have to sit in the clump to be a real driver.

Staying out of the party is not rude. It is how a 2000 kg machine gets time.

Time is the gift. Time is what lets the brain stay with you.
