“I Hate Driving.”

“The guy behind me is very angry at us.”

“My space awareness is terrible. I can never figure out where the side of our car is.”

A very powerful learning tool is capturing word-for-word sentences a client speaks. Write them down. Listen carefully to strong emotional words or phrases that are repeated or appear in a specific situation.

Words, I believe, are the closest representation of thoughts. In effect, you are reading someone’s mind. Capture their words precisely and carefully. Do not judge! Just capture.

You will be surprised how accurate these thoughts are and in turn how certain actions make perfect sense when you review situations from the client’s point of view.

A great formula for producing a great driving lesson. Use it and enjoy. Take care out there.
