Driving is about more than just reaching your destination; it’s about sharing the road with others and ensuring everyone’s safety. You’re cruising down a busy street and see a cyclist ahead, signaling to turn left. Instead of speeding up, you slow down and give them plenty of space. This small act of courtesy not only keeps the cyclist safe but also sets a positive tone for everyone on the road including the drivers behind you who may not be able to see the reason why you are slowing. Regardless you are protecting them and the cyclist. Think of yourself surrounded my your best friends and your family, all of them driving cars near you. As a group you all care about are cautious for the overall benefit of everyone.
This is a concept more important than just being nice. It is a smart way to manage yourself and everyone else as we all speed along wrapped in steel boxes that can generate massive power as our speeds increase. Of course, it is massive power! Why do you think we have seat belts, headrests, airbags, collapsible from ends, padded dashboards, and glass that shatters versus breaks into big, dangerous, sharp pieces?
This is more than being smart.
You are seeing reality using your brain and logic to do your best to be safe and keep your distance from everyone else.
Nice and smart is the best of all!
Be careful out there driving.
Your actions create a ripple effect of safety for all!
