Once again, I meet a client who’s pushing hard on the gas when turning corners. And after every stop sign, they’re right back on the gas, too.
These are typical habits they’ve picked up after paying someone —you know who!
But despite being taught to speed up around corners and take off fast from stop signs, they’re repeatedly struggling to control the car!
Funny, isn’t it? And you paid for this advice?
They still don’t have control of their foot, their steering, or even their vision to make sure no other car is about to hit them. But apparently, none of that matters because the priority is to go faster!”
Speed First, Control Second.
Well, Cooper Disagrees!
I much prefer CONTROL FIRST and do not worry about the speed because as your control becomes stronger and more and more sure-footed, magically the speed will follow.

When learning to drive, it’s best to work within the new driver realm.
